Snippets are prewritten text that you can include in clinical notes, tasks, emails or any other written dialogue available in Principle simply by typing # (Hashtag) followed by the snippet Keyword.

There are two types of Snippet:

  • Shared Snippets: These are visible to everyone

  • Personal Snippets: These are only visible to your login.

Creating Shared Snippets

  1. Navigate to Settings > Brand > Shared Snippets

  2. Click Create Snippet

  3. Enter the Name and Description of the Snippet.

  4. Select a unique Keyword to make finding this Snippet easier.

  5. Write the content of the Snippet in the editor.

  6. Click Save.

When you open up any text dialogue in your Principle workspace, simply type [#] followed by the Keyword of the snippet and it will appear in the body of the message.

Note: these snippets are available for all staff to use.

Create Personal Snippets
