Module 6: Appointment Requests

Principle's integrated online bookings system allows your patients to request appointments directly from your website. These online bookings will appear in the Appointment Requests page where they can then be confirmed or declined. This article will cover the setup and workflows involved in Online Bookings.

After completing this module, you will be able to:

  • Locate your online booking link and share it with patients.

  • Configure treatments and practitioner availability for online bookings.

  • Manage pre-blocks for specific booking times.

  • Review, confirm, or decline incoming appointment requests.


Viewing Your Online Booking Link

On the right sidebar, go to Scheduling โ€บ Appointment Requests in the main menu.

Your Online Booking link is displayed in the top-right corner. You can add this link to your practice website so patients can book directly online.


Confirming Online Bookings

  1. When a patient books online, a placeholder entry appears on the Timeline and under Appointment Requests.

  2. Review the booking request.

  3. Click Confirm or Decline:

    • Principle checks for existing patient records to prevent duplicates.

    • If none exist, a new patient file is automatically created.

  4. If the booking is made on behalf of another person (e.g. a parent for a child), match both records before confirming.

  5. Once confirmed, the placeholder becomes a live appointment with full treatment details.
