Lab Jobs is the centralised location where you can track your lab job's life cycle.

From Lab Jobs, you can:

  • create a lab job

  • attach it to a patient's name

  • attach it to the lab (location) it's going to

  • and include a due date.

If you've set up your labs in your Lab page properly, you'll be able to select the job types and costs to be included in your lab job.

For example:

Patient: Lucy Lu

Appt on: 1 Sept 2021
Job Type: Bite Block
Cost: $200

Once you've created the job, it will sit under the sending status until you have manually sent the job off to the lab. You will then change the status to sent, and then later received once you have gotten the job back to the practice. If you have not received a lab job before the patient's appointment, you will get a notification to alert you.

By using Lab Jobs, you are able to see the status of all your labs and ensure they are received before your patient returns to the practice.
