Edit a Patient's Status

Change the active status to Blocked, Inactive or Deceased

If a patient is no longer active, you can edit their status from Active to Blocked, Inactive or Deceased. You can also choose the lead status if a person is not yet a patient at your practice.

This feature is particularly useful when managing long-term records or decluttering your active patient list.

  1. In the search bar, type your patient's name and click enter.

  2. Click the three dots at the right of the Patient Profile and click edit

  3. Click the dropdown box in the status field and choose the appropriate status.

  4. Click Update Patient on the bottom right corner. Alternatively, you can navigate to the patient's profile within the Principle application, locate the three-dot menu (โ‹ฎ) next to the patient's profile, click on it, and choose 'Inactive' from the dropdown menu. Additionally, marking a patient as inactive does not delete their records but ensures they are no longer shown in the active patient list.
