If you have set up SMS appointment confirmation, your patients will be able to confirm their own appointments through the booking link. However, if your patient has verbally confirmed with you over the phone or in person, you may want to confirm the appointment manually.
Confirming Appointment from the Receptionist Dashboard
You can check the status or confirm the appointment from the Receptionist Dashboard or the Timeline
Receptionist Dashboard
1) Click into the Receptionist Dashboard section of the menu.
2) Go to the date you wish to confirm - select the date from the calendar icon on the top right of the page
3) If you see this
icon in an appointment slot, it means that the appointment has not been confirmed.
4) Click on the three vertical dots on the right side of the appointment line to open up the menu. You can click Confirm to confirm the appointment OR read the Scheduling Notes to find out the communication history
Checking Communication History
If you want to check out the communication history between the patient and the practice click into the 'Scheduling Notes' section of the menu. Using the communication icons on the 'Scheduling Notes' dialogue, you can send an email, SMS, or call the patient to confirm their appointment.
You can also add any additional notes then click add to include your note.
Opening Appointment Card
Click into the Appointment Line to open up the Appointment Card and click Confirm Appointment on the bottom left corner.
The appointment is now confirmed.
Confirming Appointment via the Timeline
1) Click Timeline either from the main menu or on the top right corner of the Receptionist Dashboard
2) Click into the appointment
3) Click the 3 dots on the Patient Sidebar
4) Select Confirm
Confirming Appointment from the Patient Profile
1) Type the Patient's name in the search bar of any Principle Page
2) Scroll down to Upcoming Appointments on the left column
3) Click the 3 dots and select Confirm
Cancelling Confirmation of an Appointment
From either the Receptionist Dashboard, Timeline or Patient Profile, click the 3 dots to open up the menu, and choose Revert Confirmation
This will put the status of the appointment back to not confirmed.
