The below outlines how to preform a New Patient Package or any first appointment for your patient in Principle.
Click into Practitioner's Dashboard and find your patient's appointment. Click the Open button on the appointment card (Bottom left).
You will be taken to the workflow of this appointment. Click to learn more about the in-appointment workflow.
Review the patient's scheduling and social notes on the bottom right corner.
View the patient's medical history by clicking on the 3 dots next to the Patient's name on the right side of the page. Select View Medical History. This should have just been uploaded by Front Office.
Using the Notes section on the right side of the page, you can write Clinical Notes whilst the practitioner performs their dental evaluation of the patient.

Chart a Condition on the odontogram by clicking into the surface you want to chart and typing the condition name under Add Condition.
Chart some possible Treatment Options based on the Conditions charted. On the Condition click into the three vertical dots and choose Treat. Options to treat this condition will appear. Choose the appropriate option from the list and click Treat.

Type in a Treatment under Add Treatment and then chart the surface that treatment relates to.
Your choice will show up under Treatment Options.
Take x-rays and photos using your existing Imaging Software. You can upload these into the Imaging tab.
Perform the treatment in real life and update Today's Appointment if you've done additional treatment. You can do this by clicking the down arrow in today's appointment and adding in any additional treatment by name or by ADA code.
You can double check today's Treatment by clicking into the Treatment Planning tab or seeing Today's appointment on the right hand side bar. Today's treatment name should be displayed in the Treatment Plan and Today's Appointment section in the sidebar, from the Treatment Planning tab.
Add any necessary Clinical Notes at the end of the appointment simply by typing in the Clinical Notes portion of the page.
Once the appointment has concluded click the Complete Tab.
You can add any check-out checklist items and set up any tasks, SMS or emails that you'd like Reception to complete.
Finally, set up the next visits in the treatment plan for the patient - at the very least, the 6 monthly visit. This is how you can communicate to the Receptionist what the next appointment is for the patient in their treatment plan.
Do this by by clicking into Step 3 under the Complete Tab. Choose the next appointment in the treatment plan and click Set Up Another Appointment.
Update the duration if necessary and choose how many days from this current appointment that the new appointment must be booked.
