You may need to edit an invoice if you need to add in item codes or adjust pricing. In addition to these adjustments, you may also need to manage credits for patients, reverse invoices to update details, or apply other modifications as part of maintaining accurate financial records.
You can access the invoice in step 2 of the Check Out workflow or in the Accounts Tab of the Patient Profile.
Adjusting an Invoice
Method 1: Using Invoice Actions
Open the Invoice.
On the top right, click Invoice Actions, and choose the option to 'Amend Invoice'.
Choose the treatment that needs to be edited.
Once in the text box, you can adjust costs as necessary.
Scroll back up and click on 'Amend Invoice', and then 'Issue' to reissue the edited invoice.
Method 2: Adjusting an Invoice through Appointments
Navigate to the appointment linked to the invoice you want to adjust.
Update the pricing for the services or details mentioned in the appointment. Important: This method is suitable for minor adjustments but does not support applying total percentage discounts.
Method 3: Applying Credits During Invoice Adjustments
Access the invoice linked to the patient’s account.
Add the applicable credit amount directly within the invoice settings. Ensure that the credit aligns with the intended balance to prevent discrepancies.
