Create tasks to keep track of things that need to be completed at your practice. Tasks can be assigned to individual staff or to groups such as Front Office or Dental Assistants. You can also include a due date and choose to make it a one off or recurring task.

Complete tasks from either the Tasks Manager page or through the In-Appointment workflow.

Creating Tasks in the Task Manager

1) Click on Tasks in the Main Menu under the Operations heading.

2) Click Create Task button in the top right corner.

3) Write the title of your task.

4) Select an assignee - this can be a yourself, another person or a whole team.
Note: you can only select one assignee per task.

5) If you would like to add a due date and time, set the frequency and/or the priority level of the task, expand the More Options tab.

More Options:

You can choose to add a due date and time to the task. You or the assignee will get reminded to do this if you choose this option.

You can select the frequency if you'd like this task to be repeated. This will turn this task into a recurring task.

You can add the priority level of the task. You can choose from low, medium, or high priority.

Additional notes:

You can write a description of your task in the comments box.

If you would like to mention anyone (staff, patient, contact) in the task, type '@' and their name to reveal the drop down menu of names.

If you would like to use a pre-saved text called Snippets, click or type '#' to access the drop down menu.

6) Click the Create button once all necessary fields have been completed.

Your task now lives in the task page on the main menu as well as connected to any other contact you've included in the task including in the patient profile.

Creating a Task in-appointment

1) In the appointment workflow, find the appointment type in the right hand sidebar.

2) Click on the 3 vertical dots and choose create a task

Then follow steps 3-5 mentioned above.
