Your Principle account comes with a set of default Treatments accessible from the Treatments Page in Settings.
We recommend looking through these treatments to make sure they are set up to your liking as well as to add in any other treatments you'd like to include.
Note: these are single treatments. For Multi-Treatments (Treatments carried out over multiple appointments) Setup see here.
Treatments Page
Navigate to Settings > Brand > Treatments
From here you can scroll through or use the search bar to explore existing Treatments as well as create new Treatments. Each treatment can be clicked on to edit its settings.
Creating a New Treatment
From the Treatment Configurations page, in the top-right corner, click Create Treatment and a pop-up window will appear.
Type in the name of the Treatment and click the 'Create' button to save.
The Treatment configuration page should now appear.
Once the New Treatment has been created, you will need to configure each of the following settings:
General
Name
Treatment Category: Select from the dropdown the category (colour) that you'd like this treatment to be grouped into.
Click to learn how to create Treatment Categories.Duration: Give a guide on how long the treatment will take.
Base Price: Type in the cost of the treatment if you would like to charge in addition to the cost of the ADA codes.
Description: Give some context on what the treatment is.
Click Save to move on to the next section.
Charting Options
Icon for Charting: From the drop-down list, select an icon for this condition.
Colour for Charting: From the drop-down list, select a colour for this treatment.
Actions of Charting: From the following selections, tick all that apply:
Hide when resolved
Disables surface when charted
Repeat icon across the tooth surface
Available surfaces to Chart: From the following selections, tick all that apply:
Facial
Mesial
Occlusal
Distal
Lingual
Whole Tooth
Whole Mouth
Arch
Quadrant
Multiple Teeth
Click the 'Save' button to move on to the next section.
Conditions
From the drop-down list, select the Condition which this treatment resolves.
Note: you may choose to leave this blank if the treatment doesn't solve any conditions.You can select multiple Conditions.
Click Save to move on to the next section.
Service Item Codes
From the drop-down list, select the ADA item codes that apply to this treatment.
You can select multiple ADA item codes and categorise them into groups. Click on the rubbish bin icon to delete the ADA code.
Click Save to move on to the next section.
Packages
Within Packages, you're able to use the same item codes and create packages within Treatment Configurations.
1. Add New Package
2. Write a description
3. Change the price of item codes for the package
4. Click save
Generated Tasks
These are tasks that need to be completed before or after the appointment. These tasks will automatically be added to the Task page of the group (front office, DAs, dentists) or person it's been assigned to when this Treatment is booked.
To associate tasks with this Treatment, click New Task
A pop-up window should appear to add a task:
Check in and Check out Checklist Items
Checklist items are tasks that must be completed as the patient checks in or out of their appointment.
Click the 'New Checklist Item' button and a pop-up window should appear.
Title: Type the name of the task.
Action: Select an action to take - none, print, email.
Checklist: You can organise the checklist items into Pre Appointment or Post Appointment.
Data: Add any notes about this checklist item.
Click Save to complete.
Equipment & Instruments
In this, add what you would need for this certain treatment "Exam tray, kids goodie bag"
This will only be displayed in this setting section.
Automated Email & SMS Notifications
Automated SMS or Emails can be configured to send every time a certain Treatment is booked: Under the Automated Email and SMS Notifications section, Click Create Notification:
Educational Aids
To upload reference materials for this treatment, click the 'Choose a file' button or drag and drop the file in.
Educational aids are mainly for practitioner-use.
Your treatment is now saved.
Deleting a Treatment
Search for the treatment by typing it's name in the search bar or by scrolling through the pages using the arrows on the bottom right.
Once you've found the treatment, click into the name, scroll down and click delete.
