Utilize the Calendar to view and schedule non-appointment events.
Calendar Events encompass various practice activities such as meetings, breaks, leave, additional rostered hours, practice closure, and miscellaneous events.
Access the Calendar conveniently located in the top right corner of the Receptionist Dashboard or under the Operations heading in the main menu.
Event Types:
Meeting: Designated for staff or other contact gatherings, lasting no longer than one day.
Break: Reserved for lunch breaks or ad hoc pauses during the day, assignable to one participant at a time.
Leave: Utilized for annual leave, sick leave, compassionate leave, etc., assignable to one participant at a time.
Misc.: Pertaining to events with multiple participants (e.g., training, extended meetings), lasting no longer than one day.
Rostered On: Applied when a staff member attends the practice outside of their scheduled hours, such as extending their day or attending for emergencies.
Practice Closed: Indicates closure of the entire practice, encompassing public holidays, full training days, renovations, etc.
All events can be:
Blocked to prevent editing by other staff members.
Locked to prevent patient bookings during the event.
Creating a Calendar Event
To create an event in the Calendar, navigate to the search bar, then select [new event].
2) Fill out all the required fields including: Title, Event Type, Date, Time, Location & Participants
Blocking Events:
Events that cannot have other events or appointments scheduled at the same time. Use this if you need to block out a staff member's entire day.
Examples: Annual Leave, Sick Leave, Meetings, Lunch Break, Training
Locked Events
Events that cannot be edited by another staff member.
Examples: Personal events, Leave
Normal Events
Events that show in the calendar, but are editable and can have other events scheduled at the same time.
Examples: Emergency Block, Family Block, New Patient Block
Note
All events created will show up in both the Calendar and the Timeline.
