Migration Checklist - Treatment Plans

Treatment Plans

Next we need to check migrated Treatment Plans. Choose patients you know to have Treatment plans with pending steps and navigate to their Patient Profile, then head to Treatment Plans Tab:

You should see any past, completed Treatment Plans as well as any in progress here. Depending on the PMS we are migrating from you may see an additional 'Migrated Appointments' Treatment plan as shown in the example above. This is due to the old software not linking a patients upcoming appointments to the next step in their treatment plan as is done in Principle. This additional Treatment Plan will generally just have dates of past and future appointments but no treatment details.

Check through the Treatment plans and make sure you are satisfied with how the treatments have come across:

  • Confirm the dates of completed steps are correct.

  • Confirm that the Service Codes have been correctly mapped to the relevant treatments.

  • For any Treatments that map to a particular tooth or surface, check that the correct surface has been selected (e.g. the Root Canal Treatment above has been mapped to the 36).

Try to choose patients who have a variety of different treatments in their Plans to check. Once satisfied that everything has landed correctly in Treatment Plans, we can move on to the next step of the checklist:

If you notice anything missing or incorrect it is important to let your Principle rep know so it can be corrected before launch.
