Appointments

The first step when checking you migrated data is to look back at past appointments and make sure that they match up to the treatments performed and recorded in your old PMS.

It is important to note the date that the data was exported from your old PMS. The data will only be accurate up to the day it was exported and any changes made or appointments carried out on the old software after the export date will not be reflected in the initial migrated data.

From the Timeline, start at the date of the data export and work your way backwards, spot checking appointments as you go.

Things to check:

  • Appointment time and duration - These should line up between Principle and your old PMS.

  • Treatment Details - Principle Uses 'Treatments' to carry out appointments rather than just a series of service codes. Depending on which PMS you are migrating from and how Service Codes have ben mapped between the two software's (See Mapping Treatments and Service Codes), you should see something similar to the image below for past appointments' Treatments:

  • Item codes that haven't been mapped to specific Treatments will come through as 'General ADA code' as displayed by the 022's above.

  • Notes: Click on an appointment to open it in the Sidebar then scroll down to the notes section to make sure all Clinical Notes Have come across correctly. Depending on which software we are migrating from, Some notes such as 'appointment notes' may have landed as 'Scheduling notes' in Principle.

Look back at these appointments, checking the items above until you are satisfied that everything looks correct.

If you notice anything missing or incorrect it is important to let your Principle rep know so it can be corrected before launch.
