Overview
Congratulations on getting to the next integral step before launch!
If you are reading this, you have likely just started your Migration Checklist.
The purpose of this checklist is to give you a chance to go through all the information we have extracted from your previous PMS, and make sure it has all landed in Principle correctly. We do this by staging your extracted data in a temporary 'Staging' workspace with the configurations that you have already setup in your new Principle workspace during the Implementation Checklist. The migration of item codes and treatments utilises the mappings you will have confirmed in the previous step prior to migration.
At this step we require you to thoroughly check through the migrated data and cross reference with your old PMS to make sure nothing was missed or transferred incorrectly. The Migration Checklist will guide you through all the areas that need your attention.
Principle's migration system is performed programmatically which ensures that any issues in the migration process can be corrected before launch. We implement many checks and balances before the data is migrated and best efforts have been made to ensure the integrity of the data, but it is essential that you thoroughly check and cross reference the data at this point.
We aim to bring across all relevant information from your previous PMS.
This includes:
All past and future appointments
All clinical and other notes
Treatment Plans
Imagery & attachments
Invoices & account balances
Medical History Form documents
Note: You will need to fill out the medical history forms of each patient again either using the PDF document that has been migrated, or by asking your patients to fill it out on their next appointment (This can be automated via SMS or email).
Data Discrepancies
Should you find any discrepancies, please reach out to us through the Principle messenger on the top right of your screen or get in contact with your Principle rep.
We aim to fix any issues in time for launch. In order to do this, we request that you assist us with checking and signing off on each section of this checklist two weeks before launch.
IMPORTANT: Keep in mind the Date the data was exported from your old PMS. Any changes made to appointments in your old PMS after the export date will obviously not be reflected in the exported data. Migration is generally done in two steps, the initial export is staged for you to check your data and then we grab a final export the day before launch to make sure everything is up to date.
Note: Imagery including x-rays will be migrated as the final step before launch.
